I spoke too soon

I've been nauseous all day. I'm trying to convince myself that it's something I ate and that I'm not really pregnant. Mind over body kind of thing. It's not working. How long does this last??

  1. If you go back to my baby blog you'll see that I totally did the same thing. I was like, "lalala I feel awesome! I went running! I am sunshine and rainbows! I LOVE being pregnant!"

And then a couple days later, "OMG I FEEL LIKE @#$%!"

Mine set in at about 8 weeks and didn't let up until..oh..birth.

  2. well mine lasted till 8 months! Sorry it really sucks! The one thing that helps mine is to just eat every 2 hours, and always have crackers on hand to snack on, don't let your self get hungry it makes it a lot worse :)

  3. I felt pregnant soon after conception, and it lasted for the first 17 weeks. Most women start to feel better around 14 though. This too shall pass. Just make sure you always have something in your belly. It's hard, but it works. Also, another tip that I heard from a friend...wake up an hour before you actually want to get out of bed and drink an instant breakfast (preferably have your hubby bring it in to you). Then by the time you actually start moving around you wont feel so crappy, and you'll be able to eat a small breakfast, or two small breakfasts spaced an hour or two apart (that is if your nausea kicks in in the morning). Good luck!

  4. Ugh... good luck. It varies with every woman and every pregnancy. Hopefully you'll be mostly functional. Suck on sour candy and sip on ginger ale. I love you!

  5. it`s different with everyone. i threw up until my sixth month. it may go away. try eating a few crackers, and taking prescribed nausea medication with a little water and waiting about fifteen minutes before you get out of bed in the morning. fyi....medicaid won`t pay for zofran(the absolute best thing out there) until you have tried other cheaper meds and they don`t work. hang in there!
