Ever since I've come to BYU (minus last year, I was in New York), I've gone to the Hunger Banquet. I feel like it's been a quintessential part of my experience here. Two years ago, I was one of the organizers, and let me tell you, it is a LOT of work. This year, however, blew my mind. There were SO many people there. The speaker, Martin Burt, was phenomenal. I don't know how they got him to speak, but he flew all the way from Paraguay to be there. I volunteered so that I could go for free (pathetic) but it was fun to be there. I sat most of the time with Austin and Wills. I took The Guy so Tim could go to the temple, and he just rode on my back the whole time and loved it. I dressed him in his awesome onesie that my friend Bethany sent us when he was born. He ate a lot of beans and rice, which gave him gas and kept him up but he liked them at the time so it was worth it.
I miss you. Amalia and I went to Hunger Banquet with Eliza on Thursday. We were first class....not too shabby. I looked for you, but didn't see you :(

ReplyDeleteFirst off, I'm glad you found my blog! You might remember me from a few summers ago-Celia's roommate in Park Place.
ReplyDeleteI'm also glad to know that cloth diapering is something that normal people actually do! When I started thinking about it I thought people would think I was nuts, but I was so happy to realize that generally that's not the case. Anyways, I really want to do it! Do you use the prefolds and covers? I know you said you sew your own (which is totally awesome) but do you still use covers? With two babies, I might do every other diaper disposable/cloth until I get the hang of it and slowly wean myself off of disposables.
Also, your baby is absolutely adorable! Your blog is great and I'm considering myself a reader as of now.
he's sooo cute. Huzzah for early exposure to hunger banquet
