I make a face scrub out of almonds and oatmeal pulverized in the food processor. I've used a shower body scrub made from coconut oil, cornmeal and tea tree oil. I made baby wash with Dr. Bronner's sensitive baby formula (recipe here: http://www.kitchenstewardship.com/2011/10/19/how-to-make-your-own-homemade-safe-baby-body-wash/) and a similar baby wipe formula (recipe here: http://www.kitchenstewardship.com/2011/10/19/how-to-make-homemade-natural-baby-wipes/). I tried making my own deodorant but it stained my clothes so Tom's it is for now. If you come across any good face wash recipes, let me know.Marenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07286395353350017079noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6386936670414405452.post-66987536853490103752012-09-28T15:13:17.722-06:002012-09-28T15:13:17.722-06:00My head stopped itching when I switched to baking ...My head stopped itching when I switched to baking soda and vinegar, too. And I use coconut oil on my body and my hair, and will start using it for cooking, too. Although Christopher said to buy a new jar for the kitchen... hehe. :)

Laurenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14952188027503911052noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6386936670414405452.post-79845213246109657072012-09-27T14:17:50.524-06:002012-09-27T14:17:50.524-06:00I use cloth menstrual pads, and love them. Sweet. The only soap I love better than Dr. Bronner's is Aleppo olive oil soap.Sarah Familiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10066135894689500253noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6386936670414405452.post-16452286406487728512012-09-26T20:55:58.721-06:002012-09-26T20:55:58.721-06:00Thanks for reminding me about Dr. Bronners. I've started cleaning a lot more with vinegar and baking soda, so why not clean my body with it too? When I want to "reboot" my hair I use vinegar. My husband thinks I'm going crazy to start doing all my (and hopefully his, soon) hygiene stuff this way, but I'm really drawn to the idea that the natural products are the healthiest way to go. I just hate the thought of all those chemicals. So...now to just take the plunge. Not sure what product to start with. Casshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07907812634786207722noreply@blogger.com
